Back in december Chris Hau And Connor Illsley Decided to make a wakeskate. We followed the direction on the website to make a skate and found it to be misleading. After 6 months of Research and design we now have close to a working prototype. Here are a few pics for you enjoy. Please give us you feed back we are alway looking to build a better board. We still need to do bevleved Edges, Paint it and seal it. Enjoy. Razz

-Chris Hau/Connor Illsley

Length: 40"
Width: 15.25"
Concave
3 stage Rock
All Wood, put together with Fiberglass Resign
Current Weight: 10 Pounds
**Will be a Grip Tape Board**

Mmm she's pretty Embarassed

Haha once you bevel those edges it should be niiice. I can't tell too much by the pics and you might already plan on it but i'd sand down any type of corners or edges that the concave and kicktails may make... hard to explain sorta. But it'd make it all smooth lookin on top Cool

Oh and when you get to beveling the edges, don't go overboard. I've seen that mistake happen quite a few times Wink

JonnyUTAH thinks that referring to one's self in the Third Person is an under used way of posting messages on Internet threads and should be used more.

JonnyUTAH thinks that Chris Hau's wakeskate design is interesting.

ImSoWakested is compelled to follow jonnyUTAH with the third person typing

ImSoWakested is curious as to if the concave is continious all the way through the entire width of the board, if so thats cool. ImSoWakested would demo one ifChrishau wants to send one to michigan Razz

nice job!! did you use epoxy or polyester resin? cuz you can seal it with epoxy aswell, but be sure to put an other UV protection layer over it....what did you find misleading and what is different in your way of making this wooden board??

personally i would take just a little off at either end.. round it out a little more, but that's my personal preferance after making two boards.. when i make my boards i make them like a skateboard with the concave in the wood not with wood added.. maybe in a future design try that.. it took some time for me to get used to but i like it.. over all nice board nice design.. try looking at some of the other threads for homemade boards.. those might give you some ideas to..
