yea sorry if this is a dumb question, but do wood skates with pbt last longer and stay from getting waterlogged better, like an oak, or does that just like protect the bottom from scratches n shizzle.

it only protects from scratches. the sides of the board need to be sealed and the fin holes, if not in use, need a sealant in them for 100% water protection. ive also seen alot of pbt get ripped of the board. so nothing lasts forever
