Anyone have any ideas about using a ride on lawn mower as the basis for a winch? Was thinking about a detachable gear to engage the winch, and then disengage for trailering, but i just dont know.

Mcthrust and I were thinking about it for a bit, like a think a lot of people are. Problem is, ride ons have a vertical shaft, so that just complicates things... a lot Razz. Best to just stick with horizontal shafts, so much easier Razz

yeah, i am still talking to a couple of mechanics about it, but i am thinking that it might be less trouble to just track down a little honda engine.
