They're made in the same factory and are probobly pretty similar. I think the Satts are a little wider and they are freakking sick. I've got a Heartbreaker and I'm in love...

support the Cool rider owned, local wakeskate company Cool

OR

support the Rolling Eyes wakeboard company. Rolling Eyes

it sounds like you have to be careful with that walton model. some are made in canada, some are made in a factory overseas, and those had a tendancy to fall apart. Beyond that, I'd look at the shape of the board (concave and things like that) and see if one might suit your taste more than the other, because it can make a difference as far as personal comfort and ultimately, performance is concerned. But either way, you will be getting a quality board from either company (again, so long as the walton is made in canada).

those are the two boards ive been riding this year.
i am currently riding the sattelyte because i got fed up with the walton spliting tip to tail the first day. i went through two in 2 weeks. the 40" walton is NOT made in canada. only the 41 and 42" impulses are(supposedly about 10 40s were made in canada). the board has a nice concave to it, its straight wedge style instead of curved concave. good pop and nice and heavy. things i didnt like were that the mid waist was so wide i could barely feel the concave with my front foot, the asymetrical shape felt inconsitant because i would shuv and the board would feel way different, also since the deck is not the same as the 41 and 42 the base is not pbt, it is some weird sticky soft plastic i would hate to slide it i didnt even try because i wanted to warranty it.
the success is my favorite deck ive ever ridden. super wide tails so my feet dont drag when edging, perfect wide waist so i get the full potential out of the concave, tough pbt base that slides really fast and smooth. this board is tough, ive banged it up hard on stuff and it hasnt delamed or taken on water. i just sealed it with spar marine varnish after i beat it up and it was good. the only thing i would change about the board is that i would give it more concave. you definitely cant go wrong with this deck

i do know this... (might ahve been said already but i dont wanna read all this)

the pbt on the walton... u can make a mark with ur nail.

the pbt on the success..... money. i slide everyday and there is no sign of it wearing away. even if u chip a piece off, which i have done, guerrilla glue was made from the gods for us to use. its perfect/\

good advice wakemitch. 08s will be testing this summer.

Decks should reach shops the first week of June. The PBTs are super fast on Rails.

LF in 06 made good boards that fell apart very easily. I never hit a rail but my LF impulsse 39 delaminated very quikly but never actually fell aprt.

Lf 07's made a huge in crease in quality as far as my board goes. Mine wuz made in canada, hasn't delaminated or fallen apart at all.

My neighbor has the sucess and i rode it a few times, i like the board alot but there isnt quite as much concave. it is also a litle lighter and i prefer a little heaver board.

I like my LF board better but i may just be lucky and got one of the ones made in Canada.

What graphic do you like more? they are both drastic, except some waltons are made overseas so you have to watch out for that... Does it not say where they are made on the board? Personally I would support sattelyte but its up to you.

Does anyone know if the Waltons made in canada are the same as the ones made in taiwan or are the shapes and weights different.

karlM, they are all the same impulses shape. the tawain ones just look like the maven/control but have the same shape as the impulses. the canada ones are exactly like the 41 and 42 just 40. but like i said there were only a couple made. if you buy one, its going to be from tawain. the people that have them have them.

Thanks wakemitch,

I just bought one but haven't ridden it yet. It's from taiwan. I was just thinking that i might send it back and get the hampson but i will prbobably hold onto it and ride it in about a week. It sounds like the only problem with them is that they break easily. So basically if it is the same as the other impulses then i will just ride it and see if it breaks. I just wanted to make sure that the board i got wasn't different in shape or weight than the canadian ones. It's pretty bogus how they can get cheaper labor in taiwan but still charge the same for a crappier product!

If only a few Liquid force skates are made in canada, your takign a chance on getting one. where the sattelyte is made in canada. ALL of them are canadian wood. SATTElyte boards RUle. get one. Ive never heard a really bad comment about their boards. Liquid force are great. but support garry and emily. They are great people.
