Hey all,

I'm in the market for a new ski this summer and seadoo has some great incentives - on top of that it's also a brand I've become very loyal to and trust with my bank account.

That being said, there's a nice selection of high powered 3 seaters that they have to offer with the wake being one of them. If anyone has seen, owned, tested, or rented a wake and has experience with others in the same power class I'd like to know if the wake has enough extra useful features to make it a definite. I'm 50-50 right now between the wake and an rxp I believe... RXP would either be 2 or 3 seat. Also the GTX ltd seems pretty nice with a waterproof cell compartment etc..

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I heard that the pylon on the back makes the ski more unstable. like when u edge it tilts the ski to the one side makin it turn. this doesnt happen when the rope is tied on at a lower position. I'm also lookin to buy a ski soon...

method - Interesting! I have a 2 up '95 spi right now and that thing goes sideways when someone edges even slightly. So, I probably won't notice that too much... however, it does mean that the pylon feature is kinda obsolete.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I may just lean towards a 2 up RXP so the 215 can send me faster when I need the speed Very Happy

It's not a question of brand. I've had a 95 spi as previously posted and it has never failed me ...ever... very solid reliable ski.

Jimbob, i like the pylon because if you have a third person, they have something to hold on to.

I have an 06 wake edition. I love it. It's huge, you can walk all around that sucker. The front compartment is GIGANTIC. I almost opted for the RXP but I didn't like the black body since black shows everything. The pylon is nice, helps keep the rope from getting caught in the motor. I've had 3 people on it and pulled 2 people before.

It's got a nice wake. I'm going to add some weight in the back(lead) to make it even bigger. It's perfect for skating behind and it makes for a fun time to wakeboard behind it too.

I've been more than happy with my ski and have not had one single problem.

Just took it out this past Sunday for the first time since Last year in November. Started right up.

im a yamaha fan myself...the lip has alot more definition and in side out pops more in my experience....all you have to do to get rid of the rooster tail is diconnect the hose from the spout in the back making it spray straight out of the back like a sea doo...not to mention yamahas seem to cost a little less

The new seadoo wake editions come with 215hp(optional) so if you do need the extra hp you don't have to get the rxp just go witht he upgraded seadoo wake Smile. I rode behind that ski all summer and i love it.

Thanks for all the help. I haven't checked into weight yet but the RXP or whatever the 2 seater ballsy one is was attractive if the wake options weren't that hetty... for weight:speed reasons when not skating. Word though, thanks for the reviews on the wake... really helps a bunch Very Happy
