Hey,

I have some questions about the 2007 Accurate Premier Handle and the 2007 Accurate A-Line/X-Line questions.

http://www.wakeside.com/page/W/PROD/accurate_brand/accurate_premier_handle_07

http://www.wakeside.com/page/W/PROD/accurate_brand/accurate_aline_line_07

How soft is the 2007 Premier handle? Is it comparable to the Straight Line Amoeba grip? I’m looking for that kind of feel. Also anyone who has this handle has it been holding up? Fairly durable?

Next, how do the extensions work on the A-Line/X-Line? What I mean is since the line is coated are the extensions coated as well? Does the coating go over the loops on the ends or are they exposed?

Okay kind of weird questions, but there’s no dealer around me that carries this stuff for me to check out, so any help would be great.

Thanks

Not sure about the '07 handle, but I have an older one and it is the best handle I have ever had. It is softer than the Ameoba, which is what my old handle was.

As far as the A-line, the extensions are coated but the loops are not. It is coated right to the loop though. I have a new 2006 red A-line still in the pouch that you can get for $85 + shipping if you are interested.

the handle has a nice soft leatherish grip like the proline lg. but the grip is in the shape of a triangle. im not into it. you definitely have to feel that handle before you buy it.

Ronin, i wouldnt recommend the a-line or x-line, actually any dyneema coated rope. they are not tangle free by anymeans. ive had atleast two or three of the rope given to me and i use them on the tramp now.they knot up real easy and have a lot of memory which makes them tangle bad. and as soon as you nick the outer coating it'll cut you hand up if you run it though you hand when the boat picks you up. accurate jacket line is the best line out there. ronix and a couple other people make lines like it, and there all just as good. wakeside's got a good zoom in of it.

i hope my opinions help

I think part of the tangling issue comes from how you "train" the rope when it is new, much like an extension cord. My A-line has never tangled and will practically coil itself perfectly. I had an Accurate Fire Jacket before the A-line and I think the A-line is 10x better. Just my opinion of course.

I love my A-line. Best rope for sliding thru the fingers for sure. I can understand how this may be problematic if the coating gets cut though. I have the white A-Line....super easy to see in ANY water. BTW...ALL ropes will tangle at some point.

eh...yeah, but if you get a rope with a coating it'll resist bending so it wont knot up...it'll just make a great biiig loose tangley mess...but if it didnt have a coating on it then it'd be more likely to turn into a knot. So those coatings DO help. The problem is, yeah, once they get rips in them they SUCK because they'll rip your hands apart when the boat is circling back to pick you up and the rope is running through your hand.

I'm a big fan of the jacket series as well. Ronix actually has a white jacket rope. Baller.
