I purchased one of these from my shop today. Im not a big fan of liquidforce but ill admit i love the shape and the ride. I took it out today to baptise her. Needless to say its a great ride but in my opinion much different then previous years. The board in general is estremely lively. The pop seemed a little less predictable then my older impulses but once you get adjusted to it you find its sweet spot. The most important thing about this board though is its durability. Its much stronger than previous years which is always good. I checked the board out after my set and theres no chipping of the paint or hairline cracks. All in all im pleased but its gonna take some adjusting to.

C-WAY Crew, the aaron reed 42 is lighter then the walton 40. Im not saying your wrong that just surprises me. Or are you refering to the reed that came out midseason last year.

kyle41, the reed and hampson are completely different from the walton. they are made in different places, have different bases, and different edges.

wakemitch, is the walton base material a result of them being made in a different factory?

I'm with you, they always crack or break, last year i broke an impulse 43, like brand new trying a back 180 and casing the wake.....my friend just got a control 41, gripped it and has been riding it for like 3 weeks and that thing is about to just fall apart....cracks all down the side and the middle around the hardware.....gotta love warranty's i guess
