There's so many different wakeskates out now. Like different types and companies. Bi-levels, composites, wood cores and solid wood. They started off as wood, now there's composites and stuff. Yet now oak and sattelyte are bringing back wood decks, just like cassette made them in the ealier days... Now what I wanna know is what makes what better. Is the the feel of wood and the weight of i that brought it back (not saying it was dead)? And what makes wood cores better than solid wood? And is the reason for people buyin composite skates being that they're light? And are bi-levels the way forward? Or is this all jus a preference thing????

there is no such thing as a better board persay it all depends on the ridding style that one choses, weather you like a heavier board than you would more than likely go with an oak or sattelyte but if you like a lighter board one whould much rather go with an integrity or another board of that nature.

I know my omen weighs more than my Oak GEGE , I think one good reason to buy composite is ( at least the team integ and the omen i have now) would be that they will last a LONG time. Now i know some peolpe are going to tell me now that wood has PBT bases they last long as well , which is correct but the main material is wood and we all know what happens to wood in water eventually ...

one thing i have lerned over the years bro is styles change. that goes both for you and in this case for skates. go find a board that you like to ride that fits your style. one day you will find something that works better for you. as you progress on your skate you will probably find certain boards will work better for you for certain types of riding. for example certain boards will work better w2w while others work better for skate tricks. just fnd a board that works for what you like to do and screw what the trends are telling you to ride
