My buddy ran the boat in the shallows and made one too many turns and she is stuck...still. She tilted after he bottomed her out. I grabbed a stick and shoved it into the mudd as a post and tied it to wait for the tide. We grabbed our gear and walked to towards the road, it wasn't very deep and we seemed to be doing OK, we got closer to the shore and the mudd got softer. It was up to my waist, my freind B was like dude I'm not gonna make it. My legs we're so tired I stuck and sank. I started trippin', I'm gonna have to get somebody to call 911. My boy Ben was stuck. I stepped on a log and after substantial struggle we we're free. That was scary though, anybody else had any quickmudd experiences....cause that sh*t is scary.
So anyway we met up at low tide and kayaked out to her but she was still stuck bad. The tide is 1.5' lower than normal. So ......... _________________ dbanana wrote:

| Don't worry. Global warming will melt the polar ice cap and the tide will rise. She will come free! |

yea man there is alot of mud like that behind my house and i was afraid my brother was goin to sink down for a second... i had to tie a rope to him and pull him out... we learned the only way to get across mud like that is in the prone position and just crawl across it... _________________ Nothin better than Wakeskating and Motocross!

| ya one of the scariest moments of my life. When i was a wee little lad me and my brother and some friends were playin around by the bay. Everyone took this long root around the water but me being the adventuresome, fearless one decided that this mud path through the middle of this body of water looked like a easy and fun little short cut. I got half way and all the sudden started to sink. I yelled for help but everyone was to far away. It was the worst feeling ever. I was helplessly sinking and i could feel shells and shizzle cutting my legs all up as i sunk. Finally when i was almost sholder deep i found a rock to hold onto. The more i struggled to pull myself out the more i got cut up by the barnacles/shells. Finally i crawled out and came back to the boat dock cut up from head to toe. After that little episode im always skeptical about shortcuts. |

..............so the tide looked high in the morning, and I had a fresh idea. Nobody elses boat could've gotten any where near her. We got there and now she was crooked from the overnite. It was not looking good..........although I had a huge spool of rope that I found at my Dad's house. Where we walked out there was an empty lot, so he pulled the dodge up and I paddled the rope out, tied her up and gave him the thumbs up. He pulled her out like a knife cutting butter Into some deeper water and she fired and ran as the beast she is. Roar
Leprechaun is right about the mudd, you gotta crawl over that shizzle or you might be bummin. Thanks for the support fellas. I think I need to cut back a little, going a little too deep in the creek or riding a little longer than you should can get ugly. A sweet short set where you kill it, throw all your tricks out there and be happy just riding on the water. It's gonna be a fun summer where ever you are.
Soak it up! _________________ dbanana wrote:

Raven,I'm happy to hear everthing turned out well. Sometimes running a ground can get REALLY ugly.
Thats why i have a outboard on my where i live. If I had a wake boat I know I woulda ripped out the prop and shaft long ago. I wish a had a $20 bill for every time I've hit bottom. _________________

Man do I know how you felt. Same thing, but my friend fell, I sat down to help him up, then I couldn't get up, and he rode off. Then I finally got out, and he goes "OMG WHAT TOOK YOU SO DAM LONG IVE BEEN WAITING FOR AN HOUR" so I told him to shut his fiznackling mouth and i will never go snowboarding with him again. We're still cool, but i will never go with him, even if we dont go backcountry, he is a dick in the park, if you dont do somthing thats challenging you, he flips out, and hes really cocky. _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |
