I'm sure most of you have heard of this project by now, but just in case you haven't, the standerd is the new wakeboard/wakeskate magazine that's being put together by joey meddock and Josh letchworth. They've basically gone out on a limb and they're creating a sort of high end photographic journal with a high end construction, high quality photographs (more on the artistic side, or even just used differently than they would be in a different mag, or perhaps it's something other mags would pass on) and also a small number of ads so there are less distractions. Snowboarding and surfing have higher end, photographic journals that are dedicated to each respective boardsport (like the snowboard journal, if anyone's seen that), and joey and josh thought it was time that wakeboarding and wakeskating get something similar to document its progression and history. Ultimately, it's for the wake fan and it's something you could have (or would want to have) for keeps, vs a 4.00 magazine that normally ends up being thrown away.
Anyway, I saw this on wakeworld--I guess joey sent this out through myspace. I just wanted to pass it on because I think this is a great project for everyone all around, and it seems like they could use everyone's support. I myself subscribed awhile back and I'll review it whenever the first issue is done (and hopefully we'll have an interview with josh and joey on here as well). Anyway:
Ok, now is the time! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! To those who have said 'I'll do anything to support you guys' we are asking that you please buy a subscription online. If you have not done so already, it's not to late to get your subscription of The Standerd sent directly to your doorstep! The first issue is officially complete and being sent to the printer as we speak! Many of you have said you'd get online but still have not done so. I believe the time frame is no more than two weeks away for you to still get your shipping info into the system. If you are unable to support us through your subscription contribution, please copy and paste this email to your own email list. The Standerd is not just wakeboarding and wakeskating related. All photo buffs out their will enjoy the concept and style that goes into every issue. Please forward to all your friends and family who may find interest, or better yet, get online and subscribe today!
Thank you all so much for the continued support!

Just saw this on their myspace. Probably one of the best angles I have ever seen for a shot.
