I've been wakeboarding for a few years now but since last season I started to get bored of it. After watching the pre pop teaser many times I decided to buy a Scape. I really liked all the buttery stuff I saw in the Pre Pop teaser but when I got my Scape I was disappointed. Not until about halfway thru last season did I take my fins off and started to have a loot of fun with wakeskating. I'm now hooked and can't wait to order a Devotid Movement Surprised

I saw it, and I knew, something in my life was about to change. 1 broken leg, 1 torn MCL, 10 wakeskates, 6pairs of shoes, 100 3shuvs, 50 kickflips, a few dozen varial flips, and thousands of overstretched smiles later i came to realize...................that I was where I was supposed to be.

My family is big into watersports, we have been getting together on the boats forever, like long before I ever showed up. By the time Wakeboarding (then called Skurfing) really came on strong I was a die-hard skateboarder and was convinced that anything but was uncool, I did it a few times even had some boards, but never was into it like my cousin and uncles. I had been wanting to make a more Skate style board that was shorter and stuff, anyway a Video comes out and my cousin is like "you gotta see this one part, this dude is riding a board like you have been talkin about making". I go over and this dude Thomas is killing it and I was immediately on the internet ordering a Cassette. I go to school and talk to this wakeboarder guy I knew, and he had a sk8, so we skipped the rest of school and rode his Mutiny. I was hooked immediately.

My longest post, EVER Laughing

went to tsr to learn to wakeboard for my first time ever, adn during lessons saw brett(bad luck) wakeskating, that a life changing day right there. seeing him kickflip like it was nothing and shuv with his eyes closed made wme want to do it. i wakeboarded ONCE, then got a wakeskate and started riding, no regrets on that decision.

ttufan24 told me that strapping was ghey, and I just had to believe him.
hopped on that failure of a wakeskate known as the "gate" and I think that I have only strapped once or twice since.

a great thread.. should be some interesting stories here
i've told mine before. i grew up on the water and tried everything i could from barefooting, trick ski'in, kneeboarding, and slalom ski'in... i never really got into jumping but went over the small ramps some. one of my oldest friends growing up came back to our lake to visit w/ his family on his 37 bday.. he was a pro slalom skier but brought along this wakeskate?? i was like what the hell is that? i think it was a hl scape..it was black w/ some graphic on it. we all skied and a few people tried that skate.. i did not...cause i was mr slalom ski only... that's all you do.. and that think resembles a wakeboard and they are the antichrists work Laughing so i was back home and another buddy who owned a outdoor equipt shop was visiting and i told him about this THING someone brought in my boat... he said.. yeah i have one... you should see what they do on them now and gave me asterisk and a few other dvds to watch.... i was absolutely fu king floored and it being winter about killled me cause i wanted to try it soooo bad after seeing what was evolving right before my eyes... i found this site.. and in a short time bought my first skate.. a 05 4 trac. i rode it first time the end of feb that year in a dry suit behind the only thing i could find that was in the water and would crank... a pontoon. i used to have the video of it.. pirate saw it.. funny looking to say the least..it was taped from a video phone Laughing

i hope everyone has a great day... this has been a great start for me.. thanks-sd

I dated this chick (who consequently turned out to be a spoiled rich-beach pyscho) and she was a strapper. I'd never been into watersports at all, but she had an 04 Grubb someone gave her. I asked what the hell it was, and when she told me, I decided to look it up. Glad I did, An Armada, Impulse, Cassette bi-level, Omen Revolt and 07 Union on its' way later, I'll never turn back. I've skatboarded damn near all my life, and I never could ride snowboards, cause I lose all my balance being strapped in. So, wakeskating was a natural choice as the first and only watersport I am into! Hell it's fast becoming the only other sport (besided skateboarding) that even interest me in the slightest. Cool
