I've been riding a flat cassete 43" and im thinkin about getting a Hyperlite catalyst. I can get a really good deal on the 107 Byerly, but I dont know if i would be too big for it. Im 6' and weigh 165. How does the Byerly and Catalysts compare to wood skates, are they alot easier to do tech tricks? |

I cant demo it because i was gonna get it from buywake.com. I know I will learn to use it either way, I was just worried that I would get it and it would be way to small. I know Aaron Reed is like 180 and he rides a pretty small cassette. I dont know how the Byerly would compare to a wood skate. |

im 5,9 150 and rde the cattalyst 112, it really depends what type of stuff your gonna be doing. If ur just learning go with one a bit bigger cause it will progress you faster and make the basics easier to learn. Or if you already have some skills and want to focus on more wake to wake stuff get the big one but if u like tech stuff like slides and shuv combos ect then get the smaller one. I myself love the catalyst for its finless riding ability, it tracks super well without fins and you can haul ass into the wake with ease and it just make doing alot of tech stuff a little easier when you dont have a fin to get caught up on. Itll just take you a little longer to learn to land stuff cause the fin wount grab u in as much. _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |
