oh and Marijuana is the #1 cash crop (even though its illegal) for 24% of the states in the U.S.......

Marijuana is a 12.4 billion dollar market in CALIFORNIA ALONE !

The War on Drugs is a joke, We could be droping those Millions into rehabilitating people instead of busting them and then letting them go out and get busted again.... I'm sick of my tax dollars paying for this crap.... Imagine if you stoped the war on drugs, Imagine if the u.s legallized Pot alone, Were talking about a (estimated) 80 Billion Dollar Market that is now Regulated by our Goverment, and is now taxed, that meen less tax for you and I.....

It also meen less deaths, 7-11 wont front you a ounce till thursday, SO there will be no need to shoot you if you dont pay........

The war on REAL drugs is not a joke. Coke, Heroin, meth, etc are dangerous substances that kill people readily. IMO tax dollars should definitely be used to stop the production and selling of these drugs. They kill people and destroy their lives.

I'm not sure I agree about the government footing the bill for rehabilitation though. Why should the government have to pay to kick a habit you willingly started? It'd be nice to get free rehab, and would attract more people to quit. But that's really not addressing the root cause of why someone starts doing these drugs. Woudn't spending money only on rehab programs just lead to more addicts (due to the fact that the drug markets will grow substantially)?

On the other hand, there's marijuana. Doesn't kill people, and doesn't ruin peoples lives (if you smoke weed often and blame marijuana for ruining your life, you're just taking the easy route out). Wasting tax dollars to bust marijuana grow ops is indeed a waste of our money.

Your chillin in the passengers seat and Wayne Brady passes you a pipe and says "eh main, smoke this" and you say "nah niggah i don wanna smoke it" but then Wayne stops the car and says " hey nigga! you smoke this shizzle, o' we have a prollem" and it ends up being PCP

It is, but not nearly as bad as cigarettes. when you get down to how long a hit lasts and how long a drag off a cigarette lasts and the amount of drags someone takes off a cigarette, and the amt. of cigarettes that people who are addicted smoke per day, and that a blunt is usually shared.

All that stuff pretty much makes the fact that 1 joint does 4x more damage than 1 cigarette

I've seen situations where pot has ruined people's lives, and truly affected the lives of others, but at the same time, I've seen the same thing with alcohol. I don't see it as any more of a problem as alcohol can be.

I read somewhere that like 98% of marijuana crop that is "captured" is actually just non-usable field hemp. Talk about a waste of resources. I seriously wish the focus would shift from the war on pot to the war on drugs, however, I have nothing but contempt for someone that deals marijuana to kids.

yes there are lung related illnesses do to marijuana, and just because you dont hear about them as much but that doesnt mean they are not there. infact it would only take about five joints to equal a back of cigs and any more joints than that would actually make smoking pot more dangerous than smoking tobacco.
