The rail Spectacular Series has been a favorite among the many riders that come to OWC. This is an OBSTACLES ONLY competition. That's right, no air tricks allowed in this comp! Wakeboarding Magazine will publish the "sickest trick" winner. Here's your chance to get your photo in the magazine!

EVENT DATES
1st Event: Sunday, October 15th
2nd Event: Sunday, October 29th
3rd Event: Sunday, November 12th

Rider's Meeting is at 10:00 am
Contest starts promptly at 11:00 am.

ENTRY FEES

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!

Please print, complete and bring in the Registration Form and Bio Sheet with your payment to the OWC office.

REGISTRATION FORM
BIO SHEET

Regular registration ends at 8pm on the Saturday before the contest. If you can't come into the office to register, call us and we'll get you registered over the phone. You can also fax in your registration form to 407-816-9070. There will be a $25.00 late fee to register on the day of the contest. Late registration is from 9:00 to 9:45 am.There will be no late registrations after 9:45 am on contest day.

- $40 for wakeboard or wakeskate (excludes Pro Outlaw)

- $60 for both wakeboard and wakeskate (excludes Pro Outlaw)

- Pro Outlaw Division is $60 - What we're doing in this division is putting a big portion of each entry fee into a cash pot and the top 3 will walk away with some cash. The more entries we have in this division, the bigger the cash payout!

A rail Spectacular T-shirt will be included with your entry fee. Only one t-shirt per person.

DIVISIONS
Wakeboard
Beginner/Intermediate Women
Beginner - spins only, no inverts
Intermediate - spins and 2 or less basic inverts
Advanced - Go All Out!
Pro Outlaw Division - Special finals: $50 cash prize for winner of individual obstacle. Final winner will receive the majority of the cash pot from all the entries in the Outlaw division - special entry fee applies

There is no difference in the skill level between Advanced and Outlaw. The only difference is the way we run the finals. Check the Format section below for more details.

Wakeskate
Beginner/Intermediate - 2 or less technical tricks
Advanced

RUNNING ORDER
Beginner Wakeboard
Intermediate Wakeboard
Beginner/Intermediate Women
Beginner/Intermediate Wakeskate
Advanced Wakeskate
Advanced Wakeboard
Pro Outlaw Wakeboard

FORMAT
This year we're changing things up a little to help streamline the day's events and make it more entertaining for the spectators and more fair for the riders.

There will be qualifying and finals for each division. The qualifying round will include two back to back laps around the cable. The top 6 scores will make it to finals where you get two more laps. You will be seeded based on how you qualified.

The Outlaw division will have a different format for finals. We will select 3 or 4 obstacles on the cable as part of the comp. This will depend on how much time we have left in the day. Most likely the kicker, flatrail and a-frame...and maybe Nessy. Each rider will get one chance to hit each obstacle and throw his/her best trick. All 6 riders will hit one obstacle and then we move on to the next obstacle and run through the 6 riders again. Points are scored (0-5, 5 being highest and 0 for falling) for each obstacle and tallied in the end to determine a final winner. It's basically a "sickest trick" contest on each of the obstacles. Even if you don't win each obstacle, you can be the overall winner by being consistent on your tricks and not falling. If you fall, you will not receive any points for that particular obstacle. There will be a $50 cash prize for winning each individual obstacle and a chance that your picture may be selected to be in Wakeboarding Magazine. So, go out and throw your sickest trick!

JUDGING/SCORING
The judging is completely subjective. Your scoring criteria is based on 3 parts: how technical your tricks are, how stylish the tricks look, and how big you go.

Points will be awarded to those that make it into the finals. 10 points for first, 9 points for second, and so on - These points will be added up after ALL three rail events and an overall champion will be announced at the end of the last event. All participants will get 2 points just for entering the contest so if you don't make it to finals, you still have a chance to win the overall.

View The Score Sheet

AWARDS
Classy looking medals and other stuff. All entrants will receive a goodie bag that includes a rail Spectacular t-shirt, stickers, and other misc. stuff. Each rail Spectacular event will have a different color t-shirt.

The overall winners of each division in the series will receive wakeboarding gear and/or 3 or 6 month cable passes!

PRACTICE
There will be no practice time on the day of the competition

Umm because I'll be out drinking all night and probably won't wake up until 12:30 Very Happy
Nah I might as well flush the 40 bucks down the toilet or just walk up and hand it to John Laughing

Is Che Blanc going to be there? I'm dying to see this tan everyone's raving about.

Logik

Laughing Of course I was joking about giving the money to John but I don't live in Fl and haven't ridden at odub in over a year. So I feel I would be wasting everyone's time trying to compete against kids that ride there all the time that's all-
