Winch spots in the DC area

Anybody doing any winching in the DC/Northern VA area?

Seems like there should be a few sweet spots on the Potamac (poolsville area) as well as the Pax river. Any other places I should be looking?

The reason I ask is that as much as I would like to, I don't think I will be swinging my boat until summer of 08. A winch would go a long way in improving my wakeskating life once I leave mecca (Florida) in November.

I have a Mig welder, chop saw, grinder etc.. so building it by next spring should be cake.

Anyways, just looking to see if anyone has scouted out any of the spots.

you should hit up the washington monument

There are lots of bail bondsman right around the monument....good luck. I live only 3 hours from DC I'm sure there are plent off good spots there. Lemme know if you ever want to hit it.

this would be amazing but you would almost definitely go to federal prison: its at the WW2 memorial, would just be a perfect wallride, smooth cement and whatnot. took a picture of it when i was there this summer.
