Hey I was wondering which board I should get for the upcoming season I know i want to get a hyperlite because they are my favorite, i am down with the EVA Top, and I like there design and feel way better than cassettes, but if you have these boards drop a reply to tell what you like like and dislike about both |

i have the catalyst and i really like it. If your just learning and want to do waketowake stuff it might take a while cause the board is fairly light so you need to get used to it. Other than that though i really like you dont need the fins at all it wont sketch out on you and its durable. The foam on the top may get/have some air bubbles but just pop em with a pin and push em down and itll be fine. I can't compare it to the gat though but i have herd mixed opinions on it. I think alot of people just cant get over the fact they think its a gimmik though so your best just to go and try the two. _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

i ride the gate and i love it but the only fault is that you have to have perfect foot placement cos its rather narrow, im thinking about mebe switching to the catalyst cos its much wider.....ride both and in the end buy what YOU like.... |

I've both (catalyst 112 and the gate). They both are great boards, the only thing with the gate is that it's a little narrow. I've shoe size 11 and I frequently catch water with my shoes.
The gate pops more aggressively. |

i've never rode the gate but my friend did, he owns the local skateshop down here, he loves it and we mesured the board, over all with the kicktails its a 44" but the board only rides as a 37" because of the shape at the bottom. so its gunna feel huge but ride small. just thought id throw that by you _________________ <3 mmmm |
