spadedout41, dude thats a no brainer, get a ski. Whree are you going to winch ?? flat water ?? Why limit your runs ?? If you can get a ski, get one, and then get a winch.

right on the only thing is that ski is a lil older and more pron to go bad ...u no its about 13 years old .... are there any specific mods that up the horse and power significantly without spending more than the ski itself .... ALSO does anyone know how much a "no spotter" ticket is ???

forget about the ticket man,

That waveraider motor is freaking bulletproof. Leave it alone, I used to work at a shop for along time. Use good oil, good gas, dont sink it, keep the water out of it. It should run for along time. You might want to get a compression gauge and check the compression if its low maybe your dad will give you a better deal....

spadedout41, Check your local boating laws as well. In florida i'm pretty sure you can ride without a spotter if you have the proper size mirror. (I know that at least applies for boats here, don't own a ski so i really haven't checked the law for pwc's)

well in my opinion they usually give you a warning first... and also if the do give you a ticket dispute it, and take it to court, the cops wont have any proof that you had no spotter.... just get a friend to say he was spotting... unless they take a pic they got nothing on you...
