well after finding out the specifications of a whinch
and relizing that the most exspensive parts ( besides the engine)
is the frame, clutch, throttle system , rigging a throttle system, and
sprocket

and i relized, mostly all of these things r on a go kart already,
so i was wondering if maby i got a go kart welded to a sturdy
non sliding frame, and got a sprocket to give off a good enough
amount of torque, and took off the back wheel and replaced it with a spool with ski rope, then maby i can have a which go kart

it seems possible Very Happy

SoFlo,

I'm freelancing for a wakeboard camp the next few weeks and the camp head has built the very idea you're talking about. He's just waiting on his clutch and as soon as it is ready (supposed to be this week) I'll get some pics up for everyone to check out.

NotSoBueno, thanks man, if u can , try and get sum helpful info from him becuase im still working things out with the idea

for any one who has expereince building a whinch tell me if this sounds like it would work

im gonna find a go kart with a 6.5 horse power engine,
ill get a 1" spindal, and a clutch that can fit the spindal
and ill take off the back wheel that the engine controls to give the
back axel power, and replace the wheel with a spool and can carry
400 ft. of rope which i already have. then after i get the go kart mounted
on a frame so the wheels dont move. and i spike it into the ground
and other things that will make it impissible to budge, ill use
the gas pettel ( throtel) to control speed and take off, and then i which it up Very Happy

sounds good?

NotSoBueno theres a golf course on Randolph AFB in san antonio that has 3 big ponds in a row with little gaps 10 ft wide seperating them. Itd be a dream spot except theres literally thousands of turtles ranging from 4 inches to 4 ft Shocked lol so its safe to say id never hit that one up Laughing
