its their sponser, they get free shoes, id wear dvs shoes too if they were free, otherwise im still wakeskating in what im skateboarding in. the volari dont have the protection i need, their ollie guard is weak, so they get torn up easily and then u have to buy more, but hampson and reed get them for free so they dont have to worry. Id go with something designed more for everyday skateboarding that can take more abuse. griptape can ruin shoes like the volari in a second especially when skating on dry griptape. if i could find the mark johnsons 2s by emerica they would be perfect for wakskting. to bad they dont make them anymore.

ScottyB, I was actually considering getting a second pair for wearing around and maybe even skateboarding in (on occasion of course Smile ).

But i guess i will use the same pair for wakeskating and wearing around until i really feel the need to buy a second pair Very Happy

Slapdown, i have them and they are alright. the mesh should go a little lower and the sole is wearing out on my front foot. but they are pretty comfortable and dry in a day.

has anybody wakeskated in any shoes besides DVS or Adio.
Es, Circa, Emerica, and Lakai make for some great wakeskating shoes also. It seems that the shoes anybody ever talks about on here is either DVS or Adio. it doesnt seem right.

c.brenton, It seems very right. They make wakeskate specific shoes.

Sure some other skate shoes are okay for wakeskating in, but they just won't dry fast enough or drain water fast enough unless they are made for it.
