winch? where to get info???

ughh i was wandering either where to get a winch or how to build them or some resource about them bcs i am not extremely familiar with them besides the neotoric winch video. i would like to get one somehow bcs down hear in LA there are hurricanes every year and alot of flooding so this is why i need the info so if you could please help me that would be great.

Info, Info ,Info,... I am swamped with winch orders right now, I just recieved 5 new style frames and there already gone. I can answer some questions online , but I can't promise I will answer all of them in a timely fashion. From the time the first winch came out it started out at like $800 dollars now these things are up to $1900 - $2600 I know its expensive but I can tell you that there has been alot of improvements on parts, performance,and materials.
Even the price of aluminum has risen bringing the new raw frame price up to $411 dollars.
As for the web site Wakeupfilms is working on it but he and I have very different schedules which makes it difficult to finish. Again ask me your questions and I'll try and answer them as soon as I can.
I am planning on selling the winch in a raw kit form and letting you guys put them together to keep costs down. Let me know what you think.

liquid, just use a car or truck, any motor vehicle if you can.. BUT if you need a winch... all you need is a centrifugal clutch (that fits your driveshaft), a sheeve to hold your rope (that fits your clutch shaft), and a generator motor (or other of that size, 8-16 hp range. you need at least 280 or so cc displacement. more the easier), and something to mount it on that can stay put when you want it to.
if you get a used engine it would probably be 250-300 to make, depending on the price of the motor. clutches are around 30 and a big rope sheeve is like 10-15.

liquid, just buy the one that u could get for 300 bucks dude....stop worrying about this you cant afford it anyways

and yes if u used a car they would just drive up to like 20 mph and tow ya, but seeing as your 12 its kinda hard to find a driver....your parents arent gonna wanna tow you through drainage ditches and such.
