i want to get into wakeskating, so i just have a couple questions. what would be a good all around board for somewhat of a begginner? i've wakeboarded before so i'm not a total begginner. and can you wake surf with a wake skate?
thanks

Well for a beginner i would reccomend a flat cassette. YOu can pick one up for a little over (or under if you get a good deal) 100. Or you could shop around for an 03 Casette concave and maybe get one for 150.

I agree with wakeriderof87 on what board to get starting off.

as far as wake surfing with a wakeskate, I don't see why that would be a big issue other than size.... but then again I've never tried it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of wakeskating.

Wakesurfing with a wake surfboard is easy, but with a wakeskate it's hard

I would just skip the wake surfing until you get a surf style board. I think that you would frustrate yourself trying with a board designed for other purposes. Also, in my experience, you would enjoy wakeskating with your time much more. But, that's for you to decide. One thing I would definitely recommend is getting a concave design Cassette or if you want a flat deck, Kampus. Both these companies are at the top of their game and I think both excel in these categories I've listed.

well, we surf here in RI, but i was unaware that you could surf the wake like i've seen done with a normal surfboard. i thought you needed like a special shaped board. but if it works with a sufrboard, then i'm all set. the boat we're getting itsnt mainly for waterskiing, its a hard bottom inflatable. like 20 feet, its got a nice center consol. i'll get a pic up later. should be fun. off to school now. exams.....
thanks guys.

yeah that wouldnt work for wakesurfing, but u could still ride a surfboard if u wanted. But it would be perfect for wakeskating. YOu can proply ride in really shallow water so setting up rails and stuff would be easy. Shocking (smileys are fun)
