i am just starting wakeskating and have a hyperlite phriction 117. this may be a crap question but, is it easier to wear shoes or just go barefoot? i tried without shoes and it went good, but is it better with shoes?

This also might be a dumb question. But i was wondering if regular skate shoes would be alright. I've been using some vans slip ons. But i was wondering if i were to use some Etnies skateboarding shoes, would they get too water logged and weigh me down?

Nate20, they would probably be fine... if they are old, you could always drill holes in them to help with the draining... but other than that, I probably wouldn't worry about it.

I have been rockin' the Kampus Wakeskates shoe. Super light and pretty comfy with the built in neoprene sock.
