so I'm going to glass the top of my 4-trac because there's a small crack in the board that's also cracking my clear coat. I was going to use some resin from west marine because that's what I used to seal that board in the first place. I think a long time ago someone on here recommended it to me as well, and he had glassed a bi-level:
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=14925&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=10104&subdeptNum=10296&classNum=10297

but are there any recommendations for what kind of fiberglass I should use? I looked at a fiberglass mat material on WM, and also just looked at some surfing fiberglass:

I want to strengthen that board, but I don't want to add so much epoxy and glass that I lose the feel of the concave. I get that the board will eventually break, but I really like riding it so I want to prolong its life for as long as possible.

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

make sure you sand the paint and stuff off the top before you fiberglass it or it might peel off later

i would use west system epoxy resin with the slow hardener. make sure that u use correct measurements but that is the only thing that will hold up long term, i have repaired alot of boats below the waterline and is by far the best stuff. you can also buy the microfiber filler to use to fill any cracks. if you have any questions feel free to PM me i can help you out i gotta lotta experience with that nasty shitt
