I'm really stoked on the new logo and how all of the elements link together in the features of all the new decks... I'll get into the details later.
So here is what's going on right now.
1. Graphics are almost done for the first decks...
2. Wrapping up materials testing, we've been experimenting with new materials from every corner of the earth!
3. Getting materials ordered for the first run of all the new decks.
4. Doing cad work for the molds and components for the waterboards.
5. More cad work for the new molds and components for the upcoming "Purist" line of decks. Yes we're going to be building some "traditional" wood decks but with our twist on them. I'm planning on making these more of a price point board for the people that still want something with more performance and durability than a traditional wood concave without the $350 price tag of the wood core composite built skates.
6. Working with Terrence on the new website till 3:00am
7. Listening to my girlfriend b!tch cause I head out to the shop about 8:00am and finally come to bed about 3:00am ish.
So I'm definitely swamped with things to do, but were just about there, last night I finally got to sit down and look at all these things around me and smile.
Needless to say doing all of this again from scratch has just about killed me a few times but... I'm truly happy and I haven't been able to say that in quite a long time.
For those of you in Texas and Florida... Zak will be heading to Texas the middle of April and we'll be doing a demo day at TSR with the new concaves and a bi level prototype or two, so make sure you come out and take a ride on the new decks. We're working on the exact dates for everything but we'll also be doing a day in Tampa the following week with Zak and Drew. _________________ arson-wake.com |

Awesome. I'll try to make it to the tampa one. I'm really stoked to hear all of this. Generally I tend to roll my eyes everytime someone comes up with a new 'wakeskate company' but you guys not only sound like your hearts are in it, but you seem to know what you're doing also. I'm definitely down to try out the bilevel (and the concaves, I'm still not ruling them out as a design completely ) when you are in the Tampa area. Keep it up! |
