I broke 2 SSTs in 4 days...
The first one lasted 3 days (8-9 hours of riding). 4 huge cracks near the outer screws of the bottom deck. I coudn't ollie at all.
I gave it back yesterday and today they gave me a new one.
After 2 hours and after MY FIRST KICKFLIP!!!!! (yeah baby!!!!!!) i took a break and gave it to a friend to try it. He rode for about 15 minutes and while i was watching him (celebrating my first kickflip!!) i saw him falling doing ollie 90 frontside after a second of laughing 2 pieces of wood came out of the water... the SST and a piece of the bottom deck... no signs of rails or anything,it was new 100%.
I don't know what to say guys...you can understand the situation.
I paid 400euros for that board (600dollars). That board is soooo cool riding. The best i've ever tried but i don't have the patience to change it every 2 days. I asked the guy who sold it to me if he can give me the Danny Hampson 41 which i think is an excelent board too, and i'm waiting for an answer tomorrow.
The other idea is to change it for a new sst but to modify the bottom deck by adding a layer of carbon fiber. It costs me about 30-40euros(45-60dollars).
Sooooo confused and ungry with the LF guys...
VIVA my first kickflip

why LF didn't use lock tight on a skate with this price if you know the problem?
LF needs over a year from a FINISHED PUBLISHED prototype to a product! never loosen screws? the deadline for the delivery of the skate was every month new. The smaller 40,5 is'nt deliverable at the moment. can it possible that LF has problems in the production process?
You ride an normal skate out of the production line? or is it pre production?
i personally have nothing against LF (great shapes, nice pop, and i know a lot of happy LF wakeskate riders), but breaking a board in a day, because the scews are over tighten is a JOKE

I love that board!
I have the third SST arrived today and rode it for an hour. I'll try to use lock tight tomorrow.
But this is not normal after 2 hours of riding...

Gnarly Dancer 42, Yeah i ride at a cable park because i work there everyday. I hit a small picnic table we have here 2-3 times.
But its really surprising because the 2 layers are detached all around the board. Seems like there where not enough glue.
You can see that there is no sign of rail where the board is open.

Gnarly Dancer 42, I was thinking the same.
I use the red lock tight on some vehicles I work on. that stuff is tough, I def. would think it would work for keeping screws tight on a skate
