I did but it wasnt snapped, it was just cracked all the way across. I covered the bottom in resin and used fiberglass cloth and put it down. It worked well for a few months until the fiberglass broke

Gnarly Dancer 42, i fiber-resined an old concave i have and it came out amazing.
it is fiberglass resin sold at home depot. then, i went and bought material by the yard and picked out a dope pattern.( i also painted the board first.) lay one layer of material over the length of the board and roll the resin out evenly across the whole board. cut access material around edges. after applying two even coats, let dry overnight. next day sand the access smooth on the base and wherever else. after sanding apply standard paint clear coat.
you can also put die cuts on top of the sanded base before clear coat for graphics.

comes out very durable and totally sealed.

you can totally shape your own edge. be sure to paint it first, then spred the resin over it.

don't know about that board with the bomb holes in it. she might have had her last ride yo.

ok, so if i were to try to save the second one here's what i would do, tell me if this sounds right

1. take off the grip and sand the whole board
2. cut fiberglass cloth and make a patch to fill in the area that has a missing ply of wood
3. put resin in that area
4. put layers of cloth on until it is the same level as the rest of the bottom
5. sand the new whole bottom again
6. cut the cloth to fit the whole bottom
7. spread the resin over the bottom and lay the cloth over
8. do steps 6 & 7 for the top
9. cut the cloth to fit the rails of the board
10. spread the resin on the rails and glue the cloth
11. sand the board
12. finished

just to clear things up, i didnt use fiberglass cloth. i used a flannel material cloth just for looks really. apply a coat of resin, then the one layer of material, then roll resin over material.
trim access around edges. after resin dries, sand excess resin smooth. clear coat.

you can get crazy with the base design. like you can use denim material, or something crazy like cut up pieces of neon paper or tin foil... Idea

to be honest speaker box carpet with resin works really well too. Thats what a lot of speaker box builders use.

This summer i think my project is to redo my 484 el quatro which is the same shape as the 4-trac. I think im gonna put channels into the bottom like the integs though

Mario C, so do you think fiberglass cloth would work better or worse than the fabric you used?

just to let u know puttin all that fiberglass in odd places and covering it is really going to weigh it down and make it quite akward to throw stuff with a board that is heavier on one side
