So I decided to put griptape on my byerly this weekend and it turned out pretty well. The foam actually came off really easy, just by pulling it off, no blow dryer or anything. I only had to use two sheets and then added some stencils to liven it up a little. Just wondering what you guys think and also, the first pics are as it is now, but the last one shows it with some blue stripes (painters tape) I was wondering what you guys think, leave it as is or add the stripes on with blue spray paint?

Nice Job bro, I personally dig the stripes. I’m defiantly feeling the DVS stencil, did you make that your self?

yeah, well i printed off the logos and then cut out certain parts to make the stencils, that worked very well, just do a test run on something before hand and since the foam came off in one big piece I used that to trace out the grip tape strips, so they fit really well together. I was really happy with it.

holmespika, where did you get the logos? did you have to cover the other parts of the board before spraying the stencil?

yabu, I did a google search for like byerly skull, volcom logo, or DVS logo and those came up. I copied them into word and stretched it to a good size. I cut them out with a razor blade. That is the hardest part, thinking what you want to cut out and what needs to be left. I just layed it down on the board, used some tape to hold it in places and just layed paper sheets down around it as to not spray white paint all over the new grip. If I spray the stripes I will most likely cover the top in tape or something first. hope that helps... Smile
