I have a 6.5hp knock off and it still does not fit fowards, but I am using it the other way anyways. It might fit on a 6.5 that is not a EPA motor like mine.

Their a new company, I just got mine in the mail its not bad. Basically the same as the comet TAV, just a new back plate.

Okay. can i just tie the rope to the two handles in the back,and then put a floaty on the rope so it does not sink? or will those handles break?

It will work but you will have to weight it down a lot cause it will float.

I use 2x4s and sledge hammer them into the ground works great for me, just make sure you make them have a point at the bottom of the 2x4 so it goes in the ground easy.

Yea down here in so.cal its 80 one day and the next its rainy and super cold, the weather just needs to be hot!!

You can go up river and maybe find some place, i will be down river and it is always glass,its like 40 min from havi.

I would say if you want good water stay off the lake. Spring break will be like a ocean out their with all the 30ft speed boats. Or you can try to find a nice cove.
