knee surgery sucks

i tore my ACL in the begining of last month and just got surgery this past thursday. now im on the couch for a while. to anyone that hasnt had knee surgery before.....it sucks! i have a pain pump in my knee, which is a thing that drips numbing medicine into my knee for 2 days. and the doc said that i cant get back on my board until february/march. so for everyone still riding.....shred that board of yours up.

Yeah, the second time I had surgery on my knee, I had that pain pump and I had to use some sort of machine that made me bend my constantly (like it would bend and then extend, etc). Anyway, my knee ended up getting infected and I basically went through hell. So take care of yourself. I wouldn't expect you'd get an infection from just sitting there (I never did, it was just when the pump was loosened or something).

That definetly sucks. I'm in the same situation, just had surgery 2 days ago and i'm on heavy drugs to take alway the pain. I've had surgery on my rigth knee about 15 months ago and after 6 months ridin here i am again on the left one. What motivates me is that when I came back riding the first time a had so much fire into me so after a while i was ridin well. I've seen about 5 skateboarding movies today. It kinda make the flames inside grow. For those of u who havn't seen, foundation - thats life is insane!!!
how did u get injured? myself, i landed a bs shuv off the wake with only 1 foot on the skate an tore it. Same thing happend to the other one. I has riding with one cti2 brace on my rigth knee and have already ordered one for the left... guess I'll look like robocop, but who cares.
For everyone who's injuried, my best wishes for a good and fast rehab, and for those who are riding, don't ever get angry that u couldn't land this or that cuz it could be a lot worst and thank u r healthy.

hey man i had a knee injury last january, couldnt ride till march i feel ya, but yours is worse! get better man.

Just out of curiousity how did you hurt you knee in the first place rotating wrong or you just had bad knees to begin with. Be good to yourself and I hope you have a speedy recovery. I feel your pain I tore almost everything there was to tear in my knee when I was 14 racing bikes in a state race my leg got caught inbetween the frame and ripped the shizzle out of it, but since I was young I just got to wear a nice cast and leg brace for 6 months. I still feel it to this day but I work my knees good by running all the time at the beach and riding my bike for exercise. Find a good rehab doc and once again goodluck.... I had never had any injury before on the left knee, i had so much confidence on it. I guess i hurt it cuz i was so tired. I was riding on my favourit location, where i only get to ride a few times per year, and i was riding for like an our cuz i was landing all my tricks, the water was warm and flat.

sorry to hear bout the knee. but when you cant skate...go back to your roots and do some surfing. thats normally the first thing your allowed to do after surgery. electricsnow is truly wise, stick to the rehab.
