anyone heard anything about Cassette in 2006? is the bi-level going to be any different? different top decks to choose from?

i rode a delaming bi-level (reed) on the weekend and I find it hard to go back to my K39...the bi-level rode REALLY nice...felt strange at first, being a little higher over the water felt different, but ollies on that thing are effortless...and W2W is almost automatic...

anyone who has a bi and an integ have any input on the differences between the two (Nekkie?)? i haven't been able to ride an integ up here in Canada, and I don't think I will (see other topics regarding shipping to Canada Sad )

I also rode a BI-level for the first time this weekend. After having my best day ever on a skate I dropped off the borrowed board and bought thier last bi level. I hope I can keep it in one peice by resealing it every couple of sets.

I figure its worth the risk since I would not be as trilled to ride next time with out a bi level. I've pretty much tried every board I would even consider riding and found the Bi to stand alone. I would love to shape my own Integ rails but I don't want to spend near 300 for a complete Demo.

I have a felling Cassette is probably trying to put more thought into their Manufacturing process right now then any new designs. I at least hope so.

I clicked on your link and it just took me to the search page Rolling Eyes

I'm assuming you put that in there because of my bi vs integ question? i haven't seen anything on the site about cassette's future plans or my experience on the bi-level...

About 3 months ago at a local boat shop I heard that LF is supposed to come out with some new skate design that everyone is going to freak over. Since then I have heard from more than one person that this skate will be a composite bi-level. Of course this could all be BS, but maybe not.

Will it be the spring loaded tip and tail idea? A certain roc coughintegritycough had that idea a year ago.

I dont think a composite will flex as much. Isn't flexing of the top deck how the current bilevel works?

Schimkat, the flex is some of it but the main cause of the pop is the "fulcrum effect", which is kinda the effect a seesaw has, the wedge under the platform adds leverage.

Schimkat,

You're wrong my friend. Compostite will flex alot. Why do you think all the major skateboard companies make there skates out of composite material and not wood?
