Their idea makes sense to me. When that first ad of Thomas and the bi-level came out that's how I thought it was going to look.

the metal would have to be strong to it doesn't bend, otherwise it's going to absorb the stomp therefore less pop. also, this is a lot different then the bi-lvl, the bi has to boards so when you push it is snaps off the other (sort of), this does nothing like it. it's a raises kicktail, that's it.
maybe if the wood flexed when you stomped, but i doubt it'd be very strong.

also, i would HATE to have that metal hit me. wood is one thing, but metal is another.
i think it's a great try to further the sport, but won't succeed. I could be wrong with all of this, but this is all my opinion from logic....GL distortion though.

it looks like it might be rounded, in wich case it wont cut you, but damn that would sting. and cant aluminum still get pitted from salt water?
