I took apart my cracked up bi earlier and noticed that my bottom deck was in pretty good shape. It probably gets waterloged, but hasn't cracked anywhere yet.
So I tried to put my new lemons over it with the metal mounts to see how it looks... and well, it looks pretty damn SWEET
First I want to make sure I can drill my lemons or my tolstoy without any problems. I seem to remember reading that drilling an integ is ok.
I'll put some squares of neoprene on both sides of the metal mounts to have the boards further apart and to dampen (sp?) the pression on the boards from the metal mounts.
First I'll try puting together the lower part of the bi with the tolstoy on top of it. I'll try to have some pics up later tonight and I'll go riding it in the morning.
If that works out well, I'll try puting the lemons on the bottom with the tolstoy over it, since the lemons is heavier...
u guys think I'm nuts?
There is no risk of screwing up my integs if I drill them? _________________

stompin9s,
I guess it's just about being passionate... Some drop money on stupid stuff (alcohol?), I'd rather buy boards and weed
other ? ... lemons or tolstoy on top? _________________

Nekkie, sounds like a good expirement. you should use the 04 for the top because it flexs more so you can pop off the bottom deck better |

wakemitch, yeah I was thinking the same, and I also tought id would be better to have the heaviest deck at the bottom. Should make it more stable...
I just can't wait to try that!!!! _________________

Nekkie, i think you should just use the bottom deck of the original bi. why waste the lemons if it doesnt work out. also you shouldnt put too much neoprene because the boards will be too far apart |

wakemitch, yeah i'll first try with the bottom of the bi
It will probaly only add 1cm (considering 2 layers of neoprene) at the most and right now it looks like the 2 boards would be way too close without that...
And I don't plan on wasting the tolstoy either... It should stay the same even if drilled, and I want to make sure of that first _________________

Here is a couple of pics with the 2 board on top of each other with only the metal spacers...
You can see that they are too close and that the metal spacers don't have the right angle, the neoprene will help correct that too.
sorry, pics are a lil blurry

You are a creative lil guy Nekkie. You should make the gap bigger since you don't have the kicktails like the bi top deck. Good luck. Show some video if it works. _________________ dbanana wrote:

I wouldn't do it, considering part of the point of the top deck is that it flexes, and it's been said that the 05 integrity's are stiffer than last year (so they're well stiff). Personally, I don't think it's going to work the way it should because you're not going to have that necessary flex to make the fulcrum work. But that's just my speculation.
ANd I'll say that i'm fiznackling impressed that you have money for an integrity (every year) and a bi level. I want your money... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

electricsnow, belive it or not I think the Bi flexes too much, and a stiffer top deck with a snappier flex might help it _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

what the hell?!
I'm glad electricsnow picked up on this as well. The BiLevel works by being flexable, and the integ is poppy because it's so stiff, combining the two is plain stupid.
are you serious or are you just boasting in a subtle way that you have all these decks?

the only way youll get a good popping bi-level is to have a flexy bottom deck if not both. keep that in mind and youll be fine. |
