I know there has been a lot of Bilev vs Integ posts, but I'm wondering how the Integ compares to the wooden concave boards (Cassette, 484, LF, Gator,).

I'm just talking about the characteristics not which company you support, not if you hate wood skates, not all that other crap that keeps coming back....

Weight?

Pop?

Tracking?

Flex?

I ride a bi-lev. I would rather ride an integrity than any other concave besides the bi-level. They are both equally excellent boards. If you can't get a bi-level, or just don't want wood, and if you are choosing between a regular wood concave or an integrity...get the integrity. Wink

i would go with the integ because it tracks well has mad pop and is indestructible. one thing that i think most people dont like about compressed boards is that they ride to high in the water. but on the integ you can sand the rails to let it ride deeper or higher in the water. i meen come on how sick is a board that you can dial in to your personal preference Laughing

are you guys proud that i didn't just say "cause there the f@#$ing best thats why"
i think i deserve a pat on the back for that one.

I heard that some of the compression boards had a little more flex that the wood.

There's been so much talk of bi lev vs integ I thought this would be a decent topic. Also seems like the bi lev is kind of a new thing, the old 3-d concave shapes have a little more in common with the ingeg shape.

how about K39 vs wood concaves?

ive been riding the k39 for about 4 months and i really learned everything i can do now on it. i switched to the 05 4trac this month and its a really good board. i like the feel of grip tape instead of foam and the concave has definitely helped my kickflip. my advice is to try both and see what you like Smile

They are all good boards... It's not really going to make a difference in your riding, if people like George Daniels can kill it on a Scape, as well as a K39 (which is a sick board by the way), you know that it's gotta be the rider. Just try out as many boards as you can, that way you can choose to ride something that meets your wants in a board. If you can't demo boards, just go with a company that you would like to support... if you don't like the board that much, there are always people on here or ebay that are willing to buy it from you. If you are too afraid of trying out a bunch of different board shapes, and don't mind shelling out the extra cash, get the Integrity, that way you can shape the rails as sharp as knives, or as soft as butter, so that you can get the exact ride that you want, plus it will last a long time as well.
-please try and support Rider Owned co. if you can though.
I firmly believe that you can't immediately tell what you like based off of other people's opinons, it's just something you have to do for yourself.

pop doesnt always relate to the board. it really comes from the way you ride it. ive rode almost every board out there and the pop comes from when you figure out how to load that board correctly. it all just comes with time on the board and riding it.
