thewakeskatetour.com wrote: | The bracket will consist of 24 total riders: At the first stop, all riders will have to qualify into the top 24. From there on, there will be 18 invited riders and there will be 6 spots open to qualify through. Brackets after the first stop will be based on seeding from the preceding event. |
http://thewakeskatetour.com/bracketing.html
so the first event is open to 24 riders. But the top 18 riders automatically get invited to the next stop. So the next stop has 6 open spots, and then the new top 18 riders get the automatic invite. and it keeps going like that at each event. |

I heard it is all winch. Same idea as retention.
I guess the only boat comps will be the comps with the wakeboarders (worlds, nationals, wake games, ect.) |

Toe Jam is stop one of the wakeskate tour. It is open to everyone with no invites. After what we saw at Retention we assume that there will be roughly 75 guys trying to make it to the main event which will consist of 24 riders. So every single rider has to qualify at Toe Jam. Once qualified into the top 24 you still have to be in the top 18 to be gauranteed a spot at the next event. Reason being, we want there to always be a decent amount of spots open for people to get in to the main event. With this format even if you don't finish in the top 18 at Toe Jam there will still be 6 spots open to anyone to get back in it at Retention. Were trying to make it open to anyone with no bias. You earn a spot or you don't no matter who you are.
Chief Judge is Shawn Perry. There will be three judges at each event and we will post them up shortly.
Toe Jam will still have the Boat event, but that part of the contest is separate as far as points go. The Wakeskate Tour completly supports boat events, we just want to focus on drop/ gap type of events like Retention.
We hope everyone can make it out and try to earn a spot. The site will always have the points race up the following week after the event. It should be fun to follow the riders and see who makes it to the top. It will also be exciting just to see who stays in the top 24.
