after reading MANY thread of "will a 25hp work",......and the whole john boat scene. ive come to the conclusion to buy an older inboard as some have mentioned. now i got to wait to get to the states in july the drive 15 freakin hours to get it. trying to find a company to haul it but havent found a company to do it under 1000 yet. if anyone in the dallas texas area knows someone that will haul this boat back to SC for a reasonable price, please let me know. here is the beauty,......

Just be sure to double check the stringers around the motor mounts. That's a common place for the old Nautiques to rot out. If the motor mount bolts seem loose then you probably have rotted stringers and you're looking at a lot of work to replace them. Good luck. I love those old Nautis.

that's a good looking boat. i'd go to correctcraftfan.com and ask some questions. you'll get everything from what to look for, ways to fix, and everything else older nautiques. texas to south carolina for 1000$ is a pretty good deal. think about how much gas $ that is. good luck.

mojo, yeah I was thinking the same thing. I live in Dallas and know that I wouldn't take much less than that at all to drive all the way to South Carolina AND back.
key, if something falls through though, let me know i could maybe help you out if the price was right. Like Mojo said though, that's a pretty good drive, especially to be pulling a boat.

i don't know if you've already purchased it, but i bet that you could find one closer on correctcraftfan. also check planetnautique.com onlyinboards.com and boattrader.com
