But why does everything have to be about getting sponsored? Why can't we just wake up in the morning and think of wakeskating as something pure. Something we all do for fun and for self indulgence.

Apparently most people on this board wakeskate to get sponsored, so, I'm sorry for not being one of them. Rolling Eyes

It is all a mindset...

Do you want the mindset of everytime you go out to ride, that you feel you must land tricks or progress fast in order to make coin off of this sport that you all love, or can you put wakeskating in a category of it's own and find a more traditional way to make a living.

I'm not knocking those that do make a living off of wakeskating, but I and some other people feel that wakeskating is something to do for yourself and for the fun of it.

Responses with substance are welcomed and I'm all ears to your thoughts on this matter, or should I say all eyes.

gporter, If you can make money on something you love...why not? I would love to not have to go to work in order to have $$ to wakeskate.

gporter, You and I both don't wakeskate to be sponsored!! I wakeskate for that feeling I get from my head to my toes!! But if some company wanted to pay me to wakeskate or even make a video! i would in a heart beat!!! life is too short not to try eveything you can!
