Panasonic SDR-SW20

Has anyone used or bought this camera? I've been wanting a small video camera for some time. This one is shock/water/dust/drop proof. I watched some videos that were on youtube about it, but I wanted to see if any ws.commies had used it before.

I had fed-ex and ups show up with like 6 boxes today. none of them had my camera in it I want my cam.

got the cam yesterday. I just need fastgreens to put the boat in the water, then I can put the camera in the water and post some results

cheapskate, Cool thanks for posting. too bad youtube compresses it so much. I'd like to see the quality it looks like straight off the camera. It seems like no one has those things in store. circuit city,best buy, costco, no one. I guess i can buy it online from b and h though.

Chris Barcellos, I bought mine on e-bay for a buy now price of 375. shipping and all came to 391. and it only took a couple of days to get it.
the sellers name was chris yales. they have 100% and the shipping was so fast I bought an I-pod touch 16gb for 300 and once again the shipping was fast on that too. check'em out.

this is a solid site to buy from. they have it for 329 right now (in red) or slightly more for the silver one.

HD with 24P is so delicious! 3ccd and no more MiniDV tapes!

the only drawback on the hdc-sd9 is that there is no support for macs right now.. but apparently the fix will be out soon from what I read.

what file format do they record to?

i don't remember. i erased them. i think they are .mod files or something, but visual hub will transfer any video file to mac workable files. i like to change them to .dv files.
