youtube VIDEO HELP

My little brother helped me put together a video of a couple of us wakeskating and I'd really like to post it for anyone to watch. He said he would put it up on youtube for me but he just left for Germany for two weeks without doing it.

My only copy is on a DVD-R disk and it is all footy shot in widescreen so I have to format it accordingly. Does anyone have any input as to how I get this on there in widescreen? Any help is appreciated.
