|

So I have the Gator Impala and I still can't get used to the foam. I usually ride wood boards with grip anyways. So what is the easiest way to remove the foam? I bought some see through jessup grip tape. Tricks, Tips, anything I should know? Thanks guys. _________________ --tricky |

Leave it out in the hot sun for a while, or use a blow dryer to heat it up so softens the glue. |

pour laquer thinner or denatured alcohol on the foam and let it soak in. _________________ .............for no particular rhyme or reason............. |

I did this awhile ago on one of my skates. I used a razor blade and screwdriver to get the foam off then i used a citrus cleaner to remove the glue and foam bits that i couldn't get off. Goof Off works too but the citrus cleaner is a bit easier on you gear than Goof Off, but if the glue and foam are gnarly then use the goof off. I didn't have a problem with the citrus cleaner getting the glue off |

what my buddy did was the sections he couldn't get off, he just cut round them and put grip around them, like grubb's skate this year. Except make sure there isn't any little pieces of foam under the tap other wise it will just come off _________________ ~ www.integrity-wake.com ~ www.iwinchglobal.com ~ |

I heated my 05 byerly up with a blow torch. I had it stripped in about 10 or 15 minutes. |

i would try heating it up....i took the foam off my doyle and it was a biotch....i ended up with blisters and didnt end up getting all the adhesive off, the grip sticks good to it but it was annoying trying to get off _________________ F.T.D.S |

use goo gone or bug and tar remover to get the adhesive off... _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." |
