Ok so I just received my 06 bi or w/e in the mail yesterday. and as ive been putting it together i noticed something odd and i wanted to see if everyones was like that or mine are just messed up. in the packaged that has the fins each fin has 2 screws or w/e and in my package 1 screw is longer then the other for each fin which makes sense, longer in the back. but when i screwd it in, it screws all the way into the fin but it has extra idk screw left that just pokes out the top and i didnt know if everybody's was like that or i just had factory defaulted screws. here are some photos of what it looks like on the bottom deck. im not sure what to do cuz i dont think when i put the top deck on it will hit the screw when i ollie or w/e but here are some photos. just let me know what you guys think.... :/

Go to boater's world and get four new stainless steel flat head screws 1/4-20 x 1 ( or 1 1/4) inch i think. Take your board right in there and they will have what you need. Dont just cut the screws shorter unless you know how to make sure the thread is OK on the end were you cut it. otherwise you will screw up the threads in the fin. Then yor farther back than when u started. _________________ Never, never, never, never give up

I'm thinking that hardware was meant more for a concave and less for a flat styled deck, hence the longer screw. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

happened to me aswell.. I was lmao about how stupid and cheap that was... obviously old fins meant for concaves... but oh well. What got me really pissed on the hardware was that the risers screws did not line up right so I had to really put a TON of elbow grease to put it all together... That must add heaps to the overall stress of the bi level design _________________

You aren't supposed to use those screws. Mine came with 20 of the other screws. 16 of which were used to connect the two boards together and the other four for the fins. |

i need help again. ok so im screwing my bilevel together and i get one side done no problem but then the other side i can get the two screws closest to the end in, but the 2 closer to the board wont screw in they jsut keep screwing and screwing and screwing around and around. and i knew they were lined up so i took it back apart and then i noticed both holes in the riser where they are are stripped at the top and it just keeps turning around in that because its bigger around and it wont screw through and go into the threads below it. so i dont know what to do... should i maybe get 2 new screws same length maybe a tiny tiny bit wider with phillips head and just screw them through the top deck holes and into the riser so maybe they will just screw right through the original thread holes but fit into that bigger thread that was made. idk im really mad about this and if i cant figure out how ot fix it im gunna either sell it off in parts or im going to see if anybody on here can sell me a single riser or something idk. but yea plz help me i really want to keep this and its pissin me off so bad that that happend. so help me asap plz. |

its jsut like the threads inside where the screws are supposed to screw at the top are like stripped and the threads dont start till lower but i tried to put as much pressure as possible and screw the screw in hoping it would just like go through that stripped stuff and thread in the threads but it wont. idk im thinkin maybe if all else fails like drill through the riser with a bit that is about the same size in diameter all the way through and through the bottom deck and get one of those bolts that are like flat head or rounded and have a locking bolt for the end and if its too long just use that machine thing i have thats the spinning wheel thing to grind it down... idk though. it would have to be a super tight fight cuz you cant have the hole too big for the bolt and it be all loose and shyt u know. man im so sad right now |

urinal mint, I'd say cassette just underestimated the stupidity of the people putting their bi-levels together rather than failing as a company. _________________ www.sattelyte.com

urinal mint, your stupid. its not cassettes fault. you just have to screw it in hard pretty much. i didnt do one side at a time. i put whichever sides lightly in to where the board wouldnt move. then the other side. but i only did two on each side at a time. i started from the outside in but i think its better to start from insied out. i dunno thats what i did and it worked. and i put my top deck on last. it was a PAIN but it worked. the screws werent flat against the board either. but its barely at an angle but its not a big deal. _________________ "Cause I have found, all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade....." |

dietwater5, it's you're, dumbass.
i have my opinions just as you do. don't get your panties in a tangle because i don't care for cassette. there's a lot more things wrong with cassette than there are right.
i'm not a fanboy but /hugs his integ. |
