|
So here is the deal
Verge wakeskates is coming out with a flat and bi-level deck. Both of our decks are desined to be ridden finless, utilizing channels on the bottom of the boards. I know most of you guys here probably are not very interested in flat decks so im mainly going to talk about our bi-level.
This deck was designed from the ground up. We tried to incorperate every possible detail in our deck to give it the best pop and feel. but also the good durabilty at the same time. I posted a flyer to further explain the board.
We have just finished testing and are almost completed tweaking the decks. We should be able to start pressing decks within the next week or so and be selling a week or so after that.
The price of the decks has not been set in stone yet, but we are looking to sell 5-6 decks, first-come-first-serve, at $255 + shipping. After those are gone the decks will be somewhere around $275.
Feel free to post any questions or comments you have about the decks and i will try to answer them for you asap. I will also update you as we get closer to putting the decks up for sale.
the deck you see pictured is one of our prototypes before it was gripped.

Yeah man... your deck loos awesome....
If you are intrested in sellin' a couple in Brazil I'm sure people will buy! If you want to send us one, all the riders will see and ride it... there's gonna be like 15 boards sold in 5 months or so..... i know cuz lots of riders want a bi, but no oner ever got one cuz it gets to expensive to ship them, with all the tax. I know a way to ship it tax free, only payin' the weigth.... lets talk more about it...
I'm the national champ and know most of the riders! Though I would never be a pro in the US, Brazil is a potential market. If you are intrestet I could send you mags, newspapers and tv shows about wakeskating only!!!
good luck on your boards!

Verge_Wakeskates, what are you using for the "trucks" on this board? In the flyer picture, its appears as though it runs the entire length of the board. Any reason for this?

that riser looks thin. that top deck would heve too much flex.

Liquid_Rider, right now they weigh between 13-14 pounds, but we are working on a lighter topdeck that would weigh 1-2 lbs less. That prototype does have the channels in it but you cant see it in the pics, the flyer shows where they are and how big they are.
Greg T, no that line is just showing where the Concave bottoms out in the middle of the deck, but i see what ur saying.
mario c., Liquid_Rider, the decks are connected in a row because it allows the entire board to flex when pressing on the tail so it does not overstress the kicktai, but still allows it to flex. The top deck definitly does not have too much flex. With the normal skatboard-type hardware configuration that are being used on other bi-levels, it make that top deck bend in ways it does not want to. The risers sit seperately under each bolt.

If you think that its not going to break eventually your high dude. All boards break and bi-level is probably more prone to doing so then others but thats the price you pay for More pop, and a BI-Level style board.
I'm so sick of people looking for a handout.

We'll eventually be able to sell replacement top decks and stuff like that because like pirate said, all decks will eventually fall apart. Like i said ealier though, we put the durabilty of the board on high priority when we designed it, and after riding it this i feel this board definitely is going to last.
LKNboarder7982, yea, lets try to ride somtimes next week and i can let you try out a prototype.
thanks for the feedback so far guys

I just want to let you guys know that i have been riding this deck every day now and I am stoaked with the results, not that I wasnt before, but it has been feeling good lately.
We are beggining to press and graphic the boards this week.
If anyone has any questions or concerns about the design or anything about the deck please post them.
