Nike 6.0 is dissolving. It's basically the evolution of the brand. Nike wake, surf, BMX, and snow have been around for close to ten years now. We started with the mutant logo stuff for the younger kids and evolved into 6.0. Now that it has become a major part of Nike and Nike has become heavily involved in the action sports its apart of it's become part of standard Nike. The program is now called Nike Action Sports. Wake itself falls under that umbrella. Most of the 6.0 gear will be gone or geared towards groms very soon. Our pro guys, Ben, Andrew, and Nick will all be rocking Nike. It's really all the same just minus the 6.0 logo.

I talked to Austin about it and he gave me the run down of all of it-- That's pretty sick that all of the action sports are going to fall under Nike now, because that will really help mainstream things like wakeskating to the public eye. As big as we think we are, we're still a very secluded sport. I think in the grand scheme of things, this will be really beneficial for wakeskating and for action sports as a whole. |
