alex,

headhunter is actually a good skater so im sure he can do more than 'shuvit ollies'.

I for one can carve pretty damn good on my finless skate. Probably better than most people on a wakeboard can.

the problem with no fins is that when people slide the wake no one pops into them because they dont have to and it just makes things a little easier. Ive ridden no fins, one fin and 2 fins and the bis mix for me is 0.8 inch fins on each end. Jus enough grip to make me pop everything, perfect for wake to wake and helps give traction on things like kickflips

ive ridden no fins, 1 and 2 also... When I was learning all my new stuff, like bigspins, 3 shuvs etc. I had no fins but no I want to be able to pop my stuff but still want the loose feel, so I have a .6 at the back that kinda looks like the new fins from hype

haha. so much irony on so many different levels...its perfect i tell ya! i would say this some of the responses on this thread would make my weekend, but i have 2 days worth of riding behind a sante to look foreward to.

i watched a trailer earlier this afternoon (that will remain nameless) where there were riders that were sliding all over the place. i actually had to stop watching the video because i personally cant stand that sht. honestly...there was one rider that i liked in that vid. thats it.

seriously, whats the point of sliding through the last 45 degrees of a 360 or a big spin or shuv off the lip?

its also rather ironic that i added a quote from alliance mag earlier this afternoon about this very same topic.

its becoming a new trend to ride finless because you can be sloppy and untechnical and still ride away from every spin/surface/lip trick known to man...

i don't know whether it is more legit to ride with or without fins. i reckon it's harder on wake stuff without fins but it's harder to ride blind fold too, it don't mean people say it's more legit if you wear a blindfold. on lip stuff i don't think it makes much difference anything up to 1.0 fins is tiny and doesn't make that much difference anyway. if you can't slide a skate about with real small fins on then you are useless and if you can't carve without fins atall then you are the same useless dufus Rolling Eyes
why make sh*t harder for yourself? as long as your skating and not wakeboarding on a skate and as long as your shuv's pop and you ollie onto lips then who cares. as for the guy who started the post i can only do shuv's and ollies in and out of lipslides and boardslides but i ain't boasting about my carving skills and my mastery of the edge- who does he think he is Kyle Schmidt? Twisted Evil
helluva first two posts i know but i read on here alot and thought it was time to get a word in.
i promise to be chill from now on Wink
