Anyone read it? I'm landlocked and poor so I don't surf, I do however love the ocean and plan to pick up surfing one fine day. The book was pretty good nonetheless, I would recommend it. _________________ I'm no scientist, but I do drink a lot of booze. |

PIRATE, second that! really good, though I found that the ending hasn't seen too much effort going into it.
Timebomb, other really nice novels (all surf related) are the books by kem nunn ("tapping the source", "the dogs of winter", "tijuana straits"). then of course there's this other nice biography by daniel duane "caught inside".
and other than that, the books by allan c. weisbecker have been my favorite this far! |

PIRATE, by whom is "west of jesus"? haven't read "crazy for the storm" neither. i'll probably jump right to amazon to check those two out! i'm craving for new surf related literature!
cosmic banditos cracked me up sooo bad! the first chapters of the book are just sooo nutso!
did you get to read weisbeckers latest book "can't you get along with anyone?" yet? it's really really good also and had quite a few eye-openers for my current situation in life (concerning women). haha |

i actually haven't read "weswt of Jesus" either. Its on my list. Right now I"m reading The Sex Lives of Cannibals..... I will deffinetly check out that a.c weisbecker book though..... It's not surf related but I have a friend that read's a ton of books and surfs his balls off. His favorite book ever is a book called I Know This Much is True by Walley Lamb... I'm deffinetly going to have to read that soon. Pic up that Norman Olsteed book you will probably really like it. Email me when you have read it.
Who would have thought of all things for us to have in common. _________________

just finished reading The Wave, really great book that helps to show the true mind blowing power from the ocean. She tells you thru really vivid details not only a scientific outlook but an almost soulfully addictive way surfers view waves. GREAT READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just started 'WAR' its also coming along really well, my new years res is to read 20 books, 19 togo. |

PIRATE, holy shít! the discription of the Lamb book sounds like some really heavy stuff! don't know if I can handle that
"SLOC" sounds pretty hilarious though. think, i'm gonna try and stick with surf related literature for now. got two books coming my way so there's some more time for choosing the following.
before you read "Can't you get along with anyone?", make sure to read "Captain Zero"!!! |
