has anyone else read the interview with vandall? schmaltz get's a bump from him, and according to randy also had a hand in board design. you can find it on companywake.com

well i knew they were pressing them, but i didn't know the design part. does erich have a patent on the sidewalls b/c if not anyone can use them. i dunno if it has run out, but everyone who has been making towers has had to pay a licensing fee to correct craft for years.

mojo, he doesnt have a patent on the sidewalls, but I highly doubt any other manufacturer would spend the time and money making them. i guess you have to use dry ice and do it by hand, im not really sure how it works.

I wonder who is building Ricky Gonzales boards, since he left Gator to start up PHALANX?

The wakeboards look pretty sick & they seem to have good pop.

Grouch, those Phalanx boards look like they are made at a snowboard manufacturer at least by the way the rails are. they look good though

it will take a long time for me to get along with phalanx. first of all hyperlite's sub VI had phalanx construction. and ricky never had good luck w/ any of his sponsors so it makes me wonder about him as a rider and his promotion of his sponsors. don't get me wrong, when i was younger i thought he was the man and he definitely goes huge always and can do pete 5's and moby 5's, but i'm unsure. also, why is schmaltz spreading himself so thin with integ, mutiny, company, and possibly snowboards? to me the company thing makes alot of sense, mutiny doesn't really, and snow boards just seems down right wacky. we are already 26 days behind when he said the new sight would probably be up. i think i'm going to order a deck just to see how long it takes to get it.

ya i saw that. nic cage is a moron. his dad's brother is francis ford copala. you'd think he would be smarter. i bet he got paid about 20 mil for nat. treasure 1 and 2 combined and he can't come up with 6 to give the irs? IMO, there should be a tax on celebs. i.e. if you get 5 mil per movie you need to get taxed hardcore on that along with regular taxes. especially since hollywood basically only puts out doody films these days back to the thread, vandall is the only rider i like from cali. maybe cordell. im not trying to be a erk. there is no ssr and i think the whole coast to coast jive is and always has been dumb.

Erich might be "spreading himself thin" but at least he's doing what he loves for a living. If he limited himself to just integrity and mutiny, I don't know that ends would be able to meet. Add in the fact that erich has deep roots in wakeboarding and has a lot of knowledge and experience with board design, so he's able to bring something better to wakeboarding in the process.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure ride snowboards has been using the urethane sidewall design feature longer than erich...but on the flip side, I think it was something he wanted to do but knew it wasn't really feasible at the time because nobody would spend that kind of money on a wakeskate.

blahblah blah.
