This bird was hanging around my backyard this afternoon. I dont know why, but he was there for about 3 hours, I mowed the grass worked in the yard and he/she just watched. Kind of strange.
Not sure what type of bird, thought maybe an Osprey.
That feather pattern and color would look cool on the bottom of a deck!!

I was told by my wife, because she has the bird book and just got home, its a Red Shouldered Hawk.

hawk for sure
ospreys have whiteheads.
i saw a couple bald eagles off university the other day. MERRRRICA!

So sick!
his eye is HUGE, im sure he can see so well!
I love seeing those type birds, used to see them, and some other kids eagles behind my parents house and on the river often, but in Boca, i never see crap... just racoons.... lol.

Ejazzle, thier is a Bald Eagle just down the road from us. He kind of took over an Osprey nest on a power pole right by Lake Monroe. They are an awesome bird. My wife got some great shots of bald eagles south of town. Must have been 5 of them in this one area.

I hate ospreys. They aim their shizzle at you from over 30ft away and never hesitate to hit bullseye

thats pretty cool, i wish we had birds like that around our house, the only thing we have is hummingbirds(which are still pretty fun to watch)
