I'm sure some of you have already seen the video, but i just had a chance to see Retrospect. I thought it was probably the most entertaing sports video i have ever seen...period.

I dont know if any of you know what im talking about...but have you ever seen Parks Bonifay on a wakeskate where he is lying on it on his stomach, and hits the wake...and tries to land on the board on his feet? The first time i ever saw Bonifay try this was at Wakestock in 99 when it used to still be in Bala. I had never seen him land it, but he tries it at wakestock ever year. Well he lands it in this video...

http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=521

if you go to the bottom of the page...its the first downloadable trailer.

I just thought this was sweet! Does anybody have a name for that trick? Is anyone doing them?

Peace out,

yeah, i know, retrospect is sweet and when i first saw parks land that i had to watch it 3 more times just to make sure i knew what i saw.

its not a trick thatwill revolutionize wakeskating, its just kinda of a cool thing to do when you're screwing around

true gregg....this surely won't be a trick used in comps, but seems like something to try when you get bored of serious riding. not to mention to show the people in the boat what you can do.

Retrospect is crazy, and it's definitely one of my favorite videos to watch right now. Ronn did a really, really nice job with the vid. It's just cool how such a wide array of music worked so well with that part, like barry manilow with greg nelson, and cat stevens with randy harris, etc. Scott probably had like three crazy video parts in that video alone, randy had two....I could go on and on with this stuff. Thomas' part was probably my favorite, randy's were crazy, brian's was fun, and erich's part was nostalgic and inspiring as well. but one thing that surprised me was the lack in length/substance with grubb's part. I thought he had a decent influence with byerly...I think chase and matt had longer parts than brian:) And it's funny, you didn't see a single yellow bannana board in that video. Anyway, if this had been started up like two months ago I would have had a lot more to say about it...I'm actually surprised there weren't more topics about this video.

paragraph break.

I don't know if you guys saw it, but if you press ENTER between the two Byerly parts at the end when a guy is speaking wearing a green shirt, there is a secret section. Byerly wakeskating n wake surfing and it's just sick. He does 360 shoves with is surf and 360 shoves over a 10 x 10 dock, just plain sick. He's a legend but he also one of the top wakeskaters right now, i think...

I don't know if thats is real voice, i don't even know who that guy is but there are sections like that through the entire movie. Another good section is when you press enter during the japenese segment, when Scott is playing piano, some local malaysian guys riping on a wakeskate...
