OK, HERES MY STORY. BOUGHT A 4-TRAC BACK IN 2003. I RODE IT FOR ABOUTH SIX MONTHS AT DEERFIELD SKI RIXEN. FOR A VERY DUMB REASON I QUIT RIDING FOR 5 YEARS. JUST RECENTLY STARTED RIDING OUT THERE AGAIN, AND EVERYTIME I GO SOMEONE FREAKS OUT OVER MY BOARD. I KNOW IT IS A HISTORIC BOARD, BUT DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH MONEY SOME PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO PAY. SO KNOWING THIS AND THE FACT THAT IF I KEEP RIDING THIS AS MY ONLY BOARD ITS GOING TO GET TRASHED EVENTUALLY, I AM KNOW THINK ABOUT SELLING IT AND BASICALLY BUYING MOST LIKELY ANY BOARD I WANT. ONE GUY TOLD ME TO BUY A NEW BOARD AND HANG THIS ONE ON MY WALL. JUST WONDERING WHAT YOU GUYS THINK. I'M A NOOB HERE, BUT I LOVE WAKESKATING ALOT AND HAVE STARTED TO PROGRESS AGAIN. SINCE I HAVE BEEN OUT FOR AWHILE NOW, JUST WONDERING ALSO, WHAT BOARDS ARE SIMILAR TO THE 4-TRAC? GATOR BOARDS LOOK SIMILAR,BUT WITH ALOT MORE CONCAVE. ANY IMPUT WOULD HELP.

I personally would love that board to ride, but that's because I have a mint 4 track to keep. I think it really depends on who you talk to when it comes to money and how much you'll get. It's been ridden pretty hard and a fair amount of the graphic is gone.

If you are curious, just entertain offers and see what people are willing to pay for it. if you really dig that wakeskate and are progressing on it, keep it and continue to shred it. I only got to ride that board once and it stands out as one of my favorite sets. I loved how the board rode and I would love to find a 4 trac to ride at some point. Anyway, I'm just trying to say that if you have a wakeskate you're comfortable on, why change that?

as for similar boards, I really don't think the gator boards are like the 4-trac. Similar to what supra said, some of the impulses are similar to that board. The limited edition reed from 2006 was pretty "right on" as far as a 4-trac replacement would go.

i say keep it, i dont think you'll find another board that rides the exact same as it/looks as cool

i've got one and i'm never going to sell it, i love the way it rides

if i were you i'd stop hitting rails with it and probably give it some sealant

its fun watching sfumato then taking it out for a set Cool

If you have a bit in you that has a love for the board, I say put it on the wall as a reminder of where you started. If you aren't that kind of guy, I say sell it and start over with a new board. Might as well get what you can out of it. Smile

Unless you're hurting for cash pretty bad I would keep it. I guess its really how much you value riding one of the most praised shapes ever made and/or the historical significance of the deck.

I should have kept all the Cassette skates I sold in the past.. I would be a bazillionaire right now.

I would just buy a new board and put that one away and keep it. If I had any Cassette stuff around I would hold on to all of it just because we will probably never see any of that product again.
