With the winch season coming up i wanted to get some new rope for my winch, i have 7/64th amsteel rope on there but had problems of breakage with deep water starts farther than 200-300 feet, does anyone have 600 feet of bulletline or straightline for sale before i buy brand new stuff?

DVSKATE, at the end of last summer the 7/64 amsteel would keep breakin on deep water starts going across my buddy's pond, and if i got some rope that would pull across that we could drop a couple rails in, thanks Montgomery i'll prob give the 1/8th amsteel a try unless bulletline still sells the 600'

Yeah they still sell it but it would be cheaper to go with amsteel but if price isn't an issue . . . . . .

I'm still trying to figure out how your rope broke on a deep water start.. like I know your a bit heavier of a guy but I mean... the rope actually snaps? Now I don't know what you guys are doing but try checking out what your drivers doing.. Is he just slamming down the throttle and when all the slack is gone its at a high speed when trying to start you?

I'm not sure if that makes any sense but its just a thought.

If you are going with the bullet lines, you might as well shell out an extra $50 and buy two of the 600ft rolls.

600ft @ $174.99 = 3.49 a foot

1000ft @ $299.99 = 3.33 a foot

1200ft @ $349.98 = 3.42 a foot.

Macthc, the driver made sure the rope was tight before giving it throttle and numerous times it would just snap

Steven M, totally would but the funds aren't that large for a college kid right now
