|
|
Ok i just want to let everyone on ws.com know whats up. Donk has been working his ass off here in ktown. Perfecting his prototype, making changes, taking criticism, and putting in the time for the local scene.
A week or so ago we had a rail jam locally. We had a kicker set up. Donk pulled a few strappers. Was not fast enough. So the guy goes home , tears the beast down, and changes the ratio for the next day. COMMITMENT.
Yesterday i had some family come in town and meet us at the restaurant where the rails are. We supposedly were not going to jam out. But donk came and made it happen. On his girlfriends Birthday. was not with her , was pulling us kooks. Thats core. He is always down to pull us, never taking a turn for himself to shred, never gets down, always stoked, and consistently the same happy go lucky winching mofo that is Joe
So i would like to use this opportunity to let everyone know ...
Dokn is redonkulous........ If u ever get a chance to be pulled by one , or your lucky enough to have joe himself pull you, jump all over it.
When these things come into full swing they are going to stomp every little winch that preceded it to date.....
Donk--- from the bottom of the Box..poptart wants to say thanks bro _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

thing looks dope. i'm curious about the throttle. it seems like we should have a standard list for gear to spool ratio/rope length these days to take the guess work out of it though. _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. | RedLine Whiine, It's got an engine and a 14'' diameter spool. Pretty standard gear for a winch. I don't really know how it looks HUGE. When you decide to give out the details on the winch you built that fits in your pocket and pulls like a dream let me know. |

Donk, im jus a consumer saying how I see it. didnt say it anything on the pull. jus said it looked huge in the pic IMO. how much does one of those run? i wouldnt mind gettin a pull behind one if i came across one. _________________ Instagram: Taylor_whoo

It's cool. It's just like someone saying my kid looks HUGE in a picture, it hurts my feelings It does look a little big, but from a consumer standpoint the skin on it is going to keep your fingers where they belong and not getting caught in the chain and your eyes in your sockets if the line breaks and whiplashes back and your engine from getting wet and shorting out and your clutch from getting spray on it and ruining the belt. So yeah, it does look a little larger than the YOKE and some other winches but from a consumer's standpoint I think they will like all that the larger metal skin has to offer them. And from a supplier's stand point I will like not getting sued because someone got hurt when operating it. |

| That throttle worked out perfectly. I tightened the screws on the throttle linkage so it "sticks" when you pull it back. It's like cruise control when you pull it back. And the silver lever in front is the brake. It's all close together and easy to coordinate. |

| I like the lever throttle a lot better than the throttle like you'd find on a dirt bike. |
